It is my belief that as humans we are biologically wired to heal; each of us already holds the internal resources needed to grow and thrive. As a counsellor, I am honoured to walk alongside you as a guide in uncovering these resources, offering warmth and a grounding presence alongside evidence-based interventions to assist you along this journey.
I work from an integrated approach, utilizing attachment-based, emotion-focused, and body-based practices alongside internal parts work in my practice. I believe it is important to create space for the body, mind, and spirit to be present in our work together.
I have experience in supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including grief and loss, emotional distress (e.g. anxiety, depression, shame, anger, stress, emotional/mental exhaustion), disordered eating and body image, life transitions, and traumatic experiences.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of the Fraser Valley. I have additional training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), somatic approaches to disordered eating, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and trauma-informed care.
